The PACE Move-A-Thon will take place during regular program hours on June 16 and 17, 2026. Designed with our participants at the centre, this two-day event encourages individuals to set personal movement goals and take part in inclusive physical activities tailored to all abilities.
Participation is free, and many fundraising activities are open to everyone!
Your support makes a difference! Every dollar raised through the PACE Move‑a‑thon goes directly to sustaining PACE community exercise programs, helping them remain accessible and impactful for individuals experiencing chronic disease, disability, and aging-related challenges. Help us reach our goal of $30,000 to ensure these vital programs continue to serve our community.
The Physical Activity Centre of Excellence (PACE) at McMaster University brings research to life through evidence-based, community exercise programs. Led by Physiotherapists, Registered Kinesiologists, Certified Exercise Physiologists, and McMaster undergraduate students, PACE supports more than 550 community members annually.
PACE offers six community programs:
Participants regularly report life-changing improvements in confidence, mobility, and quality of life—often progressing from limited mobility to performing strength and functional exercises they once believed impossible.
PACE is one of McMaster’s largest community engagement initiatives. Each year, over 250 McMaster undergraduate students contribute more than 30,000 volunteer hours, gaining hands‑on experience while supporting participants’ health and well-being.
By donating today, you are investing in the future of community health, student learning, and research-informed care, all in one initiative.
