Marianne Longo PT, B.Sc. Kin
Marianne Longo is the Physiotherapist for the MacSenior Exercise and Wellness Program and the McMaster Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
Since 2000, Marianne has focused her career toward providing care for older adults with respect, dignity and compassion. During her long tenure at St. Peter’s Hospital, she had the privilege to help guide many older adults and their families in the management and recovery of various neurologic and orthopaedic conditions and medical illnesses.
Marianne has shared her experience and passion for working with older adults with McMaster University physiotherapy students as a clinical preceptor, clinical skills lab facilitator and problem based learning tutor. She is excited to embark in a new role with McMaster University’s department of kinesiology PACE program as a clinical physiotherapist. Marianne’s special interest is in balance training and rehabilitation for older adults.
She finds great wisdom in Dr. Seuss’ words, “Step with care and great tact and remember that life’s a great balancing act.”
