MacMS-FITT Exercise Program for Adults with MS

About the Program

MacMS-FITT is a community-based exercise program for people with Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.). MacMS-FITT is modeled after the evidence-based physical activity guidelines for people with M.S. Participants are prescribed individual exercise programs that follow the physical activity guidelines for people with M.S.

 

Eligibility

  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Medical clearance filled out by physician/specialist

 

Program Fees

Initial Physiotherapy Assessment: $100 ($110 including parking)

Basic Membership: $55/month

Basic Membership includes two (2) - 2.5 hour drop-in exercise sessions per week, an individualized exercise program, and volunteer assistance. 

Modality Membership: $75/month

Modality Membership includes two (2) - 2.5 hour drop-in exercise sessions per week, one (1) session on our specialized modalities per month, an individualized exercise program, and volunteer assistance. 

Modality Packages: Additional sessions on our specialized modalities can be purchased through the PACE reception desk.

Parking: $20/month and $40 deposit fee for transponder (Fully accessible lots are located in front of the Ivor Wynne Centre)

Membership and parking fees are payable in installments of 6 or 12 months at a time. Methods of payment include: cash, cheque*, debit, and credit card (Visa, MC)

*Cheques can be postdated (for 6 or 12 month memberships) but they all have to be presented at once

Example: If you are signing up for a 6 month membership, 6 postdated cheques must be given at the initial sign up

Monday 10:30 am -1:00 pm , 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Tuesday 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Wednesday 10:30 am -1:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Thursday 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Friday CLOSED

Membership includes two drop-in sessions (2.5 hour blocks) per week. Additional sessions may be purchased based on availability. See PACE reception desk for more details.
