MacWheelers and PACE say good-bye to Susie Ward

We were very sad to say good-bye to Susie Ward, who left her position as Program Coordinator for the MacWheelers mid-March for another career opportunity. Susie had a long association with the MacWheelers, starting as a volunteer trainer 10yrs ago as a kinesiology undergraduate student. She quickly distinguished herself as one of our best volunteers, and progressed to being one of our lead staff members by the time she graduated with her kinesiology degree in 2008. She returned to McMaster in the position of MacWheelers Program Coordinator in 2010, and can be credited with not only managing significant growth of the program during this time period, but also leading the development of a community-based exercise program for adults with Multiple Sclerosis (MacCess). Susie’s dedication to the MacWheelers program (and her genuine empathy for our members) was always evident, and her engaging personality, her creative problem solving skills and welcoming presence in the gym will be missed by all.
